About Кate
I am a piano teacher from Ukraine with 25 years of teaching experience in public and private music schools. I currently teach at Edinburgh School of Music.
I am a third-generation teacher, so teaching has always been an important part of my life. I genuinely love my profession and enjoy helping students discover their love for music, develop their skills and become more confident at the piano.
I mainly work with children, but I also teach adults of different ages and levels. I believe that every student is unique, and I always try to create a friendly, supportive and enjoyable learning environment.
I speak Ukrainian and Russian fluently, Polish at a basic level and English at an intermediate level.

I believe that piano lessons should be enjoyable, encouraging and tailored to each student.
I mainly work with children, but I also teach adults, from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced students up to Grade 8. Every lesson is adapted to the student’s age, level, interests and personal goals.
Depending on your needs, we can work on piano technique, musicality, sight-reading, music theory and repertoire in different styles. I also prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity examinations.
My aim is not only to teach you how to play the notes, but to help you understand and enjoy the music, develop confidence and become a more independent pianist.
I create a friendly and supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable learning, making mistakes and improving at their own pace.
