Benjy is a talented linguist who is catching up with the GCSE requirements and content after a break from formal education. His focus at the moment is on speaking practice, particularly pronunciation, and making up the gaps in his knowledge of vocabulary and exam technique.

Si is very focused on wanting to improve his conversational French, as well as learning some technical vocabulary for his job. He works conscientiously between lessons to consolidate the work covered and his fluency is already improving. He has an excellent attitude towards learning, i.e he happily ‘has a go’ and learns quickly from his mistakes.

Lily is gaining in confidence and has a better understanding now of the requirements of the exams. She needs to consolidate her knowledge of irregular verbs and tenses and start learning useful idioms and vocabulary to impress at higher level. It is a pleasure to teach her.
