About Gemma
I have been working as a primary school teacher for over 7 years, both in KS1 and KS2. I have always loved sharing knowledge and skills, working through any difficulties and finding new ways to progress learning, and am looking forward to helping more children feel the success of grasping something they once thought was too difficult. I'm currently transitioning to a new (but related) field of work and decided to take up tutoring to be able to keep teaching alongside my new role.

Flexible and stress-free, I work with children and families to find gaps, difficulties and areas to develop further. The goal is to keep learning fun and not overwhelming, with longer or shorter lessons as needed. I have particularly strong experience with KS1 teaching in recent years but have taught across the full range of primary school ages, and am happy to discuss what's needed and how it could be achieved in advance of starting any lessons, with regular progress updates throughout.
