About Philip
I am a Primary school teacher and driving instructor with a combined 12 years of experience in delivering meaningful and engaging lessons in a range of subjects. I have a masters degree in History from the University of Glasgow and am a keen musician, playing a number of instruments including guitar, drums, piano along with music production and recording.

I believe a combination of setting by example for core subjects and child led activities for other subjects (like history and art) is best for promoting positive experiences towards learning.
I also believe recent developments in teaching (including mastery and the 'flipped classroom') offer tutors greater scope for both supporting and challenging students to achieve.
