About Catherine
Hello! I'm a qualified primary school teacher with over five years of experience teaching in London primary schools across Years 3 to 6. I hold a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), awarded with Distinction, as well as a Bachelor's degree in World History and Philosophy.
Throughout my teaching career, I have helped pupils make strong academic progress, including supporting children to achieve excellent outcomes in Key Stage 2 SATs. I tailor every lesson to each child's individual needs, helping them build confidence, deepen their understanding, and develop a genuine love of learning.
I am particularly passionate about supporting children with additional needs and creating an inclusive environment where every learner can thrive. As a trained Philosophy for Children (P4C) Lead and an Oracy Representative, I value curiosity, critical thinking, and communication skills just as much as academic success. My lessons encourage children to ask questions, think independently, and express their ideas with confidence.

I provide engaging, personalised lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils (Years 3–6), tailored to each child's individual needs. Whether your child needs support in English, Maths or another National Curriculum subject, wants to build confidence, or is preparing for Year 6 SATs, lessons are designed to help them make steady progress. I use a range of practical activities, retrieval practice and regular feedback to identify gaps in understanding and strengthen key skills. My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where pupils feel confident to ask questions, develop independence and enjoy learning.
