About Rhys
I am a mature tutor and I apply my life experiences to my tutoring.
I'm married, have 2 teenage kids, a dog, and a cat.
In addition to this, I have taught the Advanced Diploma in Building Design for 14+ years to a wide range of students. I can't say I've seen it all, but I've seen a lot and know how most students tick and how to guide them.
The majority of my graduates have gone on to have successful careers in a range of fields, not just building design ... so I feel like I do things right most of the time.
I always try to adjust my teaching style to suit my audience. This does take time, but I'm willing to put the effort in to help each student get the best results they can.

With me you'll receive an approach where I do not just teach about a 'thing', but the 'why', 'how', 'where' about your learning requirement/s.
I try to teach as if we are in actual industry with a combination of theory, practical examples (utilising my own experiences), hands-on demonstration, and allowing you to try new skills.
I firmly believe that mistakes are a valuable learning tool. If you don't get knocked back, how can you know what is going forward like?
I'll hold your hand, but I'll let you learn as well. Not here to give you the answers ... but to show you where the answers lie.
