About River
I’m a lifelong musician, with an interest in psychology and experience working with SEN people. I volunteered with SEN children at the Riding for the Disabled Association, and have experience teaching instrumental lessons to SEN students.

Each person will learn and benefit from teaching in different ways - some may learn quickly, others may take more time. I believe it’s important to adjust to each student’s needs accordingly, and to celebrate each and every learning achievement.

River has been working with me since she was 17, teaching on chamber music and music theory courses. She is very well taught herself, and this comes through in her delivery of both one-to-one and small group lessons. She is a natural musician, able to convey her enthusiasm for music and is experienced at teaching all ages from 5-adult. I recommend her unreservedly.
River’s been teaching me to play violin for a couple of months now and she’s been very good at it. Everything is explained clearly and at a pace that suits me and with a great deal of patience and enthusiasm for the instrument. Until I’d started learning with her, I had no idea I even wanted to learn the instrument, and she’s inspired me to continue with it.
