About Theresa
I have been providing instruction in the Spanish language both as a classroom teacher and private tutor for upwards of two years. I have taught students at a variety of grade levels- from pre-kindergarten all the way through the undergraduate level- and I enjoy them all! I also have some experience in translation as an intern at the Worcester Probate and Family Court in Worcester, Massachusetts. In my spare time, I enjoy creative writing in both English and Spanish, playing chess, drawing portraits, and practicing vocal music.

I typically open my lessons with a developmentally-appropriate warm-up activity, and then immediately transition into the bulk of the lesson. In all of my instruction, I rely heavily on comprehensible input, which is a pedagogical tool that makes immersive instruction more manageable for students. I also love to use multi-sensory units in my instruction, including projects, music-based activities, and game-based activities. Finally, I like to end off my lessons with a brief exit ticket question or reflective exercise, which helps students to retain the content that was covered during the class.
