I have been a tutor since the summer of 2017, both through a local public school and independently. I currently only have two students so I am looking forward to expanding my student base and getting to know more people just as excited about the Spanish language.

Hi, I'm Chris! I love helping others learn and improve in many subjects, mainly Spanish and martial arts. I've been a Karate instructor at my local studio for several years, teaching students ages 4-adult. Teaching martial arts is a constant learning experience. I am often faced with new challenges and ideas for how to improve my teaching style and give every student the best learning experience possible.
More recently I have expanded my teaching experience to the Spanish language as a tutor. Having the chance to use the strategies I had gained as a Karate instructor in the field of Spanish language has been a rewarding experience that has given me invaluable professional skills that I hope to keep using in future opportunities. I love passing on what I know, and I love seeing my students progress as they learn the material I provide them. The most important principle behind being a good teacher is making lessons fun while still having them be productive. Without the element of fun, it is impossible to truly pass on the knowledge to the student.

If tutoring multiple students at once, I am willing to discount the hourly rate per student to $60 (so for 2 students I would only charge $120 per hour).
