Claire has tutored my daughter in Latin. She is an excellent tutor and very professional in her manner. She is calm and patient and made all her lessons enjoyable. She explains things clearly and tries to give helpful tips to help her pupils to remember the subject matter.
Her teaching style is very effective, starting with the very basics and building on this in each lesson. She always recapped what was taught in the lesson before and frequently revised salient points from previous lessons to ensure that my daughter had not forgotten what she had learnt. She also showed how Latin is actually quite relevant to us today and frequently showed how many words we use today in the English language were derived from Latin. My daughter was very motivated to learn Latin and do the assignments Claire had set her.
