About Christine
I have taught English language and literature at KS3, KS4 and KS5. My speciality is perhaps preparing students for their GCSE and A level exams, helping them to exceed their targets. I work as a secondary school teacher, as well as an Examiner, both nationally and internationally. I gained a 2:1 in English Literature from the Open University, alongside a 1st class degree in Music from the Royal Academy of Music.

I give students confidence in their abilities through methodical practice of analytical techniques and wider thinking. As an experienced examiner with CIE, OCR and Edexcel, I understand how exam boards reward the work of students, and what techniques gain higher grades. I work to make students comfortable with and fluent in these techniques, with both seen and unseen texts.

Christine is an extremely talented and accomplished violinist, as well as being a fantastic teacher. She taught me as a beginner and is a meticulous, supportive and fun teacher to learn with. Due to her brilliant teaching, I achieved a distinction in my grade 1 ABRSM exam and am now working towards grade 2. I know she works with all students, from beginner to advanced players, and students flourish under her tutelage. I highly recommend Christine to all those wishing to learn the violin.
