About Tania
I am currently an English Teacher and have been teaching English for 6 years online and face to face to individuals and groups. I also can teach basic level Italian and French speaking, as I am fluent in these languages as well. Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec I am a native English speaker. I attended McGill University where I obtained a Bachelor's degree with a Major in Economics and International Business. I worked in banking for about 15 years. I then went on to obtain a CELTA degree from ILSC Montreal. I was classified 6th out of 357 global trainers as I am passionate about what I do. Therefore, with my varied background I can adapt to a variety of student needs. From basic English to a more complex need, written and spoken, business or otherwise.

My teaching methods are based on a needs analysis I conduct with every student. I assess with the student their goals and conduct lessons accordingly to meet them. My lessons comprise of a speaking and grammar component. I also add writing if the students wishes to improve those skills as well. The topics vary depending on what subjects or interests the students wish to discuss. The aim is let the student demonstrate patterns of errors so they can be corrected. My corrections are immediate so the student can benefit from not repeating them. I use engaging techniques and help students foster independence and confidence in communicating in English. Written exercises, role play situations, articles, videos, and an array of resources are provided for the student during the lessons. If the student wishes homework is also assigned in order to practice the grammar learned.
