About Federica
Ciao, hola, nǐ hǎo!
I am Federica, a native Italian speaker with over ten years' experience teaching in schools, universities and one-to-one.
I teach Italian from beginner to advanced, including GCSE and A Level. My proud teacher's moment was when one of my students won second place in the Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translator in the Italian competition.
I have taught learners of every age and level: my youngest pupil was six months old, and my oldest… well, it wouldn't be polite to say!
I hold the CEDILS certificate in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language (93/100) and I am currently studying for an MA in Education.
I am DBS-checked, with Level 3 safeguarding training.
Learning a language can be hard work, but it is one of the most rewarding skills you will ever gain, and I will support you every step of the way.
Living abroad showed me that speaking to people in their own language connects you with them in a completely different way. It leads to friendships, opportunities and adventures you will never forget.
