For my teaching methodology, I use a lot of questioning to get each student to have a think about how they would approach a problem, giving each student the opportunity to develop confidence in their own thoughts. I use this method across all years of secondary school and it is deemed effective in creating a safe learning environment. My pace differs with student ability and I usually use a calm tone of voice. I am patient enough to allow a student to think about his/her own solution before demonstrating the steps in solving a problem. I use exam related questions and show students how to identify the key information in the problem, especially if it is a word problem.
I have been a Teacher of Mathematics at the secondary level for 5 years. I have Bachelor of Sciences degree in Mathematics and Modelling Processes as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and Training. In the Caribbean, I received a 100% pass rate at the A Level and in the UK, I have been part of Maths team that increased the pass rate by 100% between the years 2016/17 and 2017/18.

I have known Dorraine for almost 2 decades. We have gone to school together and participated in leadership roles of the aforementioned. Dorraine exudes professionalism and confidence. She is a subject matter expert in Mathematics and many other science based fields. She effortlessly communicates with those in her presence. She has integrity and would be a great addition to your team.
Dorraine is honest and trustworthy. She has intergerty. She has the ability to reach the weakest student. She is a very experienced tutor but most of all she is dedicated in whatever she does. I feel very confident to recommend her.
I highly recommend Mrs. Dorraine Bushay as a Mathematics tutor at any level. I have had two years firsthand experience with her strong work ethics; she is an individual who is true to duty and a person of integrity. While in Jamaica she was a driven, organized teacher who developed inspiring relationships with her students.
Mrs. Bushay has always been driven to develop her skills as a teacher; she is one who is interested in the harmonious development of all the faculties of her students. She continued to demonstrate this drive through her tenure at the schools she had worked.
Mrs. Bushay has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages, especially children. Her ability to connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior. She also has excellent written and verbal communication skills with both parents and teachers.
Mrs. Bushay accomplishes all these tasks with great initiative and with a positive attitude.
For these reasons I recommend Mrs. Bushay to the other Superprof members without reservation.
