About Adrian
I'm a highly experienced Piano Teacher and Pianist with 14 years teaching experience working in schools and privately. I also work as a professional accompanist and hold a LRSM diploma in Piano Performance (Post grade 8 diploma)
I graduated from Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2007 gaining BMus (Hons) and MMus in Music Performance (Voice) with distinction. I am also a fully qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique and member of STAT.

My approach is always centred around the individual strengths and needs of each pupil so that they can enjoy the process of learning and playing. I build confidence in my pupils by helping them cultivate a secure, safe and effective technique so that they can enjoy playing and freely express their musicality.
Many of my pupils work towards exams and some decide that's not for them and just play for fun.
Pupils can learn to play from memory if they wish, but I firmly believe everyone should learn how to read music to some level and understand basic foundations of music theory so that they develop a sense of agency and the ability to learn by themselves and be able to practise effectively.
My expertise are in classical piano working with children and adults from absolute beginner to advanced level (post grade 8) Some of my pupils are working towards piano diplomas.
