About Curtis
I have been creating fine art since the early 1980’s but have been interested in art since kindergarten and continued to draw and paint all through adolescence. In addition To the fine art I also designed posters and flyers for local and national musical acts throughout the late 80’s and 90’s. In 2004 I took a break from painting and concentrated of writing and as a partner in Dos Casas Productions, was first runner up at the Austin Film Festival for best comedy script which was eventually optioned and is currently awaiting production from actor and director John Snieder. In 2010 I resumed work as a visual artist designing album covers for The New Orleans Jazz Vipers, The Dave Mooney Trio, Ted Hefko and the Thousanaires and Bob Worth and countless others.
I have been drawing, painting or creating some type of artwork for over 50years. I have shown and exibited around the US for over 30 years with works in private collections both nationally and internationally.I have been involved with many creative mediums including, painting, video directing, screen writing, graphic design, photography and fiction writing.

About the lesson

The first two lessons will be discussion and viewing of art work of abstract artists. The third lesson will be note taking and photos on an outdoor walk around the neighborhood. some type of homework will be given after every class. after third lesson subsequent lessons wil be studio lessons. ALL classes are one hour long unless arrangement and request for longer one is made.
