About Jacob
My name is Jacob and I am a 1st class psychology graduate from King's College London, and an assistant psychologist! Passionate about promoting collective understanding of mental health, I have recently begun writing my own book and starting a podcast about psychological trauma and its reaching impacts on my life. As such, I ensure I remain evidence-based and am always keen to learn more. In fact, I would say my tutees teach me at least one or two things each lesson, so fire away! Hello! In my lessons I strive to create a positive learning environment that plays to your strengths. I incorporate up-to-date research on memory, retention, and learning because, why not use psychology to teach psychology! I grew up in foster care and have lots of lived experience of different aspects of psychology which I always bring to my lessons to give real-life application to theory. Because of my early life, I have also had to work tirelessly to achieve my 1st class degree and have many tricks up my sleeve to help you do the same… Last, but not least, I am experienced in teaching those with neurodivergence or specific educational needs, so I encourage you to tell me all about you so I can really ensure our time is spent wisely.
