About Joanna
Hello! I am an Economics graduate with a strong passion for teaching and helping students build confidence in Mathematics. Alongside my professional career, I provide tuition as a dedicated part-time tutor, bringing both commitment and enthusiasm to every lesson. I believe in breaking down complex concepts into clear, simple steps so that every student not only understands the “how” but also the “why” behind each solution. My goal is to make Mathematics less intimidating and more approachable, while equipping students with problem-solving skills that last beyond the classroom. I am committed to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to achieve their best. Over time, many of my students have shown noticeable improvement in both their academic results and their confidence.

I teach according to the Singapore MOE Primary and Secondary Mathematics syllabus, ensuring that my students build a strong foundation and confidence in the subject. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and needs, typically lasting 1.5 to 2 hours for effective learning.
I have over 3 years of experience teaching Primary 1–3 students and 1 year of experience teaching H1 Economics. Currently, I am looking to work with Primary and Secondary students who need support in Mathematics, including both E-Maths and A-Maths at the Secondary level.
My teaching style focuses on breaking down concepts into simple, understandable steps, and I place strong emphasis on clarity, practice, and exam preparation techniques to help students achieve consistent improvement.
