About Jonathan
For me, music has always been a way to express myself in a unique way. I believe everyone has a unique style and something to share through music. When I am helping a student improve their skills, it feels like I’m mining for the talent they have in them. I’ve learned that every student is different in the way they learn, and I enjoy teaching to different types.
I started teaching friends who wanted to learn. I realized that I really loved it!
I started playing bass guitar when I was in elementary. Since then, I have played bass in show choirs, jazz bands, and others in high school, and college. I played in a semi professional rock band in Omaha and Lincoln for close to three years. While playing in that band, I was involved in writing, producing, and recording an ep and an album. I have taken multiple music theory classes, and bass lessons in college.

When I start with a new student, My first goal is to get to know them, and understand what their goals for bass guitar are. I also want to know who there favorite artists are, and what there skill level is. After this, I will develop a lesson plan tailored for their goals.
