About Ryan
Hello, my name is Ryan Roberts. I have been teaching private bass lessons since I was 17 yrs old. I now work in Los Angeles as a professional bassist and host a bass podcast (The Bass Shed Podcast) where I connect with legendary Bassplayers and musicians to discuss artistry, career and culture. I also have a bass transcription website and have 2 albums coming out in 2022.
In the past, I have composed & orchestrated for movies (writing and performing a score for solo Upright Bass for a feature length film) and have studied the bass with internationally recognized bass players including Gary Willis, John Patitucci, Alphonso Johnson and Joel DiBartolo).
I look forward to connecting with new students and helping them reach their musical goals.
I love seeing students find their artistic voice and pursue what makes them happy within music
When I was 17 years old, my private teacher asked me to start teaching all his students.
Over 20 years of professional experience as a performer and educator. I've also had the opportunity to study privately with internationally recognized bass players.
