About Euan
I have an educational background in other languages - Latin, Greek, German and Italian to varying levels. I'm also a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language, and have an exceptional command of grammar and syntax. I've been studying Japanese for nearly ten years now, and I lived in Kyoto for a year while attending a language school full time. I recently passed the JLPT at N2 level. I've been tutoring for a couple of years since returning home.

I work with beginners, from absolutely zero Japanese through to JLPT N4 level. I teach hour-long lessons, usually using the Minna no Nihongo or Japanese for Busy People textbooks. I have a background in languages (including a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language) and my approach is quite forensic - I aim to equip my students with a proper grasp of the mechanics of Japanese rather than just teaching them words and phrases. Knowledge without understanding is not real learning.
