About C R
I get people playing the piano. Actually playing, not robotically following music. I have been playing piano since I can remember; however (no hate on my past teachers, they were doing it according to best practices of the time) I learned wrong. But with some help and a lot of hard work I was able to course correct and learn to be a working jazz pianist and I can teach you to do likewise. I have done numerous musical pedagogy certifications and worked with a number of noteworthy musicians, but in general I tend to stay away from collecting badges. My facebook page is (concealed information) and from there you can see all kinds of things that I do.
The usual way... people saw me perform and asked me if I could teach them to do what I do.
Years of private piano lessons as a youth, years of service as a pastoral musician in every capacity, completion of years of vocal training and Voice Care Pedagogy course, years of experience at private vocal and piano lessons, plus years and years of solo and ensemble performing

I assess where the student is; I find out what their goals are; I then put together a custom program using resources the student has, and/or recommending new ones, and I adjust as it goes, keeping what works and discarding what doesn't.
I have worked with all ages, but I prefer adults or children of exceptional maturity. Some previous piano experience is preferred but not strictly necessary. An open minded cheerful attitude is a must.
Nothing to do with music, but I really liked the 2017 eclipse!

Details
$30 for a half an hour, $55 for an hour at my studio or via skype, zoom, etc. Add $5 for every ten miles that I have to drive to you. Monthly rates available that amounts to a nice discount when paid by the month in advance. No credit for missed lessons unless there are truly exceptional circumstances.
