About Leah
Hi! This is Leah Coloff! I’m a Grammy winning cellist and teacher living in Brooklyn, NY. I have over 20 years of teaching experience dedicated to sharing the fun and skill of cello playing with students of all ages and skill levels.
I have a private cello studio and have taught in the Harmony Program, Willie Mae Rock Camp and at Summer Keys, a wonderful adult music camp in Lubec, Maine.
I create personalized instruction tailored to your unique goals and abilities to ensure a joyful and enriching learning experience. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your technique, my one-on-one lessons focus on developing not only technical proficiency but also a deep appreciation for the art of cello playing.
And while I teach technique grounded in classical cello playing, I am also excited to explore alternative ways of utilizing the cello in music of varied genres.
