About Daniel
Hi, I'm Daniel Holloway. I've been teaching and playing cello for over 20 years. I've created an online platform to teach people how to play the cello through video lesson instruction. My website has material for all levels of players from beginning students to adavanced players. Please check out onlinecellolessons.org for more details.
I find it very enjoyable to teach people about music and playing the cello.
I've been teaching cello since 2003 when I was doing my undergraduate degree at Columbus State University. It was a great way to earn extra money while I was in school and I've always enjoyed sharing my knowledge of music with others. Since 2003, I've taught many private lessons for various schools and music programs as well as maintained an active private studio at home.
I have a Bachelor's in Music Performance (cello) from Columbus State University and a Master's in Music performance from Southern Methodist University.

I usually listen to them play to gain an idea of where they are at with their cello playing. I make observations on technique, sound production, intonation, and musicality and try to formulate a strategy to improve the students playing.
I've worked with all ages and skill levels.

Details
Live lessons are $60 an hour. I offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute lessons. I offer in person lessons at my home studio, or live video lessons on zoom.
In addition to private lessons, I also offer an online lesson program of pre-recorded video lessons for only $14.95 a month! This lesson program is designed as a work at your own pace method and is a very affordable option. There is material there that covers how to play the cello from the very beginning, on up through intermediate and advanced level playing.
