About Ethan
Our main goal is to learn something and then the knowledge will come! Practice Practice Practice makes perfect!
I enjoy working through questions and critically thinking through them. It is so exciting being able to change student's way of thinking. My goal is for the students to learn something and then the letter grade will come after the confidence is there. I try to build the confidence with students in order to work through any questions.
In my undergraduate I tutored many students along with did my own group study for general chemistry 1 and 2 classes. I have also been a lab instructor for around at least 500 students. I have enjoyed my time throuhg it all.
I just obtained my masters in Chemistry and have worked with so many students in my undergraduate and graduate studies. I enjoy educating students in different disciplines of chemistry and want them to thrive in the class.

We sit down and figure out what the goals are we need to work through. Then we work through different topics and work on practice problems.
I have worked with many students from different backgrounds such as different races and mathmatical background. Some have had no background and still did well while others with math backgrounds have done well. Everyone is different but I learn to adapt to the learning style and it does not stop me from making sure they learn.
You need to find someone who is willing to push you to the limits. Also, someone who is willing to ask you questions and make you learn.
I worked with a student who lacked confidence on exams. She came to me after she did not do so well on her first exam. We built a relationship that I still talk about her to all my other students who have had the same issues. Test anxiety is a real thing and her and I worked through many practice problems that even after failing her first exam out of four she still got an A in the class because she improved everytime on the exams. My goal is that we learn and then the letter grade will come. Most of the work is with the students, and my goal is to push them to work through it and as positive as possible! Chemistry is easy when the students learn the tricks.

Details
Because this is more one on one, I want to charge at least $40-50 an hour. It may seem like a lot but I have worked with many students and have adapted many methods to approach different learning styles. I want to use all the money I earn and start building for my future.
