About Samantha
I have a deep love of learning and all things math and science. I have experience teaching precalculus, biology, environmental science, statistics and computational biology at the high school level. Previously, I also worked as computer science tutor at Duke University where I studied biology, marine biology, and computational biology.
One of my favorite aspects of teaching was working 1-1 with students, and I'd love to partner with you to achieve your academic goals! I am usually working as a ski instructor at Tahoe Donner Sat-Mon and am flexible the rest of the week in terms of scheduling.

I love to learn, and teaching was an avenue to do just that while sharing that joy with others.
I have taught high school math and science, tutored in computer science, and still actively participate in research surrounding population dynamics, marine ecosystem function, and data analysis.

The first step is getting to know each other and your goals. After that, I believe in working together on process rather than focusing strictly on answers, and most importantly leaning into what you find exciting and interesting about the subject matter!
I spent the past summer hiking 1200 miles of the PCT and the entire 480 miles of the Colorado Trail.
