About
Hello! My name is Samantha and I specialize in helping students craft compelling, authentic college essays that showcase their unique voices and strengths. I recently graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College, where I majored in Environmental Earth Science and minored in Government. As a songwriter and music teacher with years of experience, I’ve always been passionate about creative writing and mentorship. My work in environmental research and communications, writing blogs and newsletters on important issues, has further honed my ability to create engaging narratives – a skill I bring to my essay coaching.
As an essay coach, my goal is to empower students to find their voice and develop skills that will extend far beyond the college application process. I believe writing can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and that college essays don’t have to be scary! I act as a mentor, helping my students find the stories that encapsulate who they truly are and bring them to life through approachable writing exercises. Within a few sessions, we end with standout essays that have earned my students spots at top schools like the University of Michigan and the Wisconsin School of Business.
