About Grace
My name is Grace Johnson, and I have been crocheting for ten years. I am here to share my knowledge with you! If you are just starting out, I would love to work with you on basic stitches and terminology. If you are more experienced but are stuck on a more complex pattern or stitch, I would love to sit down and help you figure it out! I am here to help you express your creativity through the medium of crocheting.
I love expression. Crochet is one way to express that has very few limitations. If you can imagine it, we can probably find a way to achieve and express it.
As I crochet in group settings, I have had people ask me if I would be willing to teach them the basics. I suppose you could say I fell into the role of teaching.
I have personally been crocheting for ten years and have taught several people the basics of crochet over that period of time.

When working with a new student, I first establish what knowledge they already have. Then, I find out what goal/project they are trying to accomplish. After that, each lesson is highly individualized and tailored to each specific student.
I have worked with people of various ages; as young as 4, as well as adults.
Know what you want to do. Crochet is a wonderful medium of art, but if you don’t have something you are working towards then it becomes difficult to continue to find motivation to learn.

Think about what you already know, think about what you want to do, and truly think about whether you have the motivation to see it through.

Details
Generally, I charge $25 an hour. However, especially when working with those still in school, I can be flexible with the pricing system. If you cannot afford the normal rate, contact me! I would love to see if we can work something out.
