About Claudia
I started teaching in 2014 at Artistic Motion School of the Arts in Greensboro, NC. I thought it would be fun to teach dance while trying to make a little extra money during college. This studio has a rigorous ballet curriculum and the students compete every year at YAGP. After relocating, I started teaching at Starz Performing Arts Acadmey in East Rutherford, NJ, the studio I grew up dancing at. It has been such a pleasure and privlege to come home! I had no idea this hobby would turn into a passion for me!
I have been dancing for 17 years and am currently working with a dance company in New York City. I am trained in all areas of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and Musical Theatre. I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a minor in Musical Theatre in 2017. I have been teaching at studios and workshops since 2014 in a wide age range, starting as young as 2 to adult. My experience allows me to teach basics and fundamentals starting at any age, or to help a more advanced dancer flourish and grow.

When working with a new student in a private setting, I like to see where they are in their training and what their personal goals are. I will try different exercises that can help me understand how the student learns best. From there, I can design the lessons to help the student succeed best!
Find someone you are comfortable with but also someone who pushes you to be the best version of you! Learning should be fun, but it should also inspire you to be a better person!
