About Sushma
Founded in 2011, Soorya Arts Academy, based in Canoga Park, California, and the surrounding areas, is a dedicated organization committed to the preservation and promotion of Indian performing arts. It offers training in Indian Classical dance - Bharathanatyam, Carnatic Vocal Music, and Mrudangam - a drum from South India, to students of all ages. They actively participate in various county, state, and national dance festivals under the guidance of their teachers. The academy is proud to be a principal institution in the propagation of traditional Indian dance and music.
