About Sylvie
Syzygy Dance Project, founded in 2010 and based in Sausalito, CA, is a non-profit organization committed to transforming lives through dance. They provide mindful movement classes to diverse populations, including inmates, veterans, and seniors, among others. Their programs aim to promote body awareness, emotional release, and community connection. They also offer public programs to raise awareness and fund their outreach efforts. The project, which began with a single class at SF County Jail, now runs 10 ongoing projects across the Bay Area, providing not just dance, but a sense of freedom and possibility.
