About Wendy
I am the only qualified Ballroom Dance Teacher on Saint Simons Island.
Helping people learn the"JOY AND THE PLEASURE OF DANCE" and teaching them to have the confidence to step out on the dance floor and dance, at a Wedding or a Ball or a Party or at some other Event, maybe on a Cruise. Just knowing I have enabled them to enjoy dancing.
I took my first ballroom dance lessons at the age of 15years in Blackpool England, a city made famouse by the World Ballroom and Latin Dance Copetitions held there yearly. Dance was a very important aspect of my young life.
After emigrating to the USA in 1964, I had to learn a different style on ballroom dance, since then I have continued my dance education, in both American style and International stlye. Mostly in Sudios in the New York/New Jersey area. Since moving to Saint Simons I have continued my dance with both teaching and taking lesson in both Jacksonville Fl and Savvanah GA.

I firstly work with the student to select a piece of music the student really likes or is very meaningfull.
That will decide what type of dance we can do to that piece of music. From there I will demonstrate some of the steps we can include in the routine to fit the tempo and style. I will then spend extra time designing a complete routine to suit the student, the time and the place in which the student will be dancing.
