About Gina
Safadi Dance & Coaching helps students go from beginner steps to cleaning up coreography.
The key to anything is perseverance... formula is simple: daily practice and weekly coaching.
Weekly check in with the skills that have been practiced from the week before and then build from there with the homework for the next session.
As an instructor I love to see students learn the love of movement. See them let go, forget their daily stress and enjoy dance.
As a coach I love that "Ahh haa" moment when mind and body meet. When the muscle memory takes over after being guided as to where it really need to be.
As a director/producer I love seeing all integrants come together in a fabulous event.
Gina Safadi obtained her BA Degree in Dance and Sociology through Marymount Manhattan College in New York, USA
Post Graduate Diploma in Arts Administration through New York University
CID Member Unesco
She began her dance studies at the age of ten at Dance Dynamics Academy in Queens, NY and went on to study at the Joffrey Ballet School and Broadway Dance Center before auditioning for her university degree in dance.
Her studies include classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, salsa, bachata, ballroom dance, improvisation and expression.
As general director of Latin Dance Center she was cultural manager and producer of events such as:
1st Festival International Dance Day
The first International Salsa Seminars in the country
was co-producer of the CIAD Quito International Contest
As a dancer she has won several awards through her career in countries such as Ecuador, Argentina, Peru and Columbia.
She was invited to represent the country in international congresses in the salsa and bachata genres including the Inter-American Grand Final of Argentina - Peru Dance Salsa Congress - Guarachero Congress of Argentina - New York Salsa Congress
Lately she obtained international judge certification through the Wolrd Salsa Summit.
She was a teacher, dancer, director, cultural manager and producer in Ecuador for over 15 years and now she is sharing all that knowledge in Washington DC, USA.
