About Ray
We enjoy helping people get on the water! We provide hands-on, on the water, boat training as well as guidance to get your boating certifcate so you can get out on the water! We also have boat rentals, boating club, boat sales and more. We build boaters!
Being on the water and enjoying what you do is its own reward, however being intergral part of someones journey into boating just makes it all that much better!
We begain training customers in our marina who had limited boating expereince, then began training our boating club members, then the general public.
Our team have years of expereince training new and expereinced boaters on lake and salt water enviroments, and have each been trained and certified by BoatUS and hold captains credentials.

We wish to learn about your boating expereince, awareness and goals then help suggest best path to accomplish your goals.
We have trained people from age 13 to age 88 both men and women and of all levels of expereince and walks of life.
Be sure you connect on what your seeking to accomplish as well as the timeline it takes to learn. Also be sure you connect well with personality of teacher as that is important during the hard times you may encounter when learning. Paticence and ability to teach is key.
Recently spoke with an older guest who has owned two boats with us and is now graduating to a 45 ft cruiser. We discussed how he came to use 10 years ago with no expereince or awareness and now will be retiring on a boat. Was wonderful to be integral part of his dream come true!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should consider their near term as well as long term goals, but focus on paticence and expect learning to boat may take time and practice.
