About Allen
Learning to draw and paint are lifelong pursuits; we never stop learning. I like knowing that the people I teach are on an exciting journey where the path is more than a destination to be reached. I have studied painting and drawing for over two decades, with a strong emphasis on craft and the techniques of the Old Masters, as well as contemporary artists such as Odd Nerdrum and Roberto Ferri.
I love to paint! The odors, textures, the modeling of depth and form... and the items that I use to paint. The flow of the brush across canvas... everything. I just love to get lost in the world I am working on...

My first step is to evaluate the student's current skill level, and then to determine what goals they hope to achieve. I then develop a program of study that the student can use on a daily basis, and offer in-person classes to help them achieve their goals.
