About Mary J
I teach all the fundamentals of art. My students choose subjects of their choice and while working on the project I teach them the different techniques of that particular medium in the process of creating the art piece.
I am a self taught artist with over 40 years of experience as a practicing artist. I love teaching my students all the techniques and tricks of the trade and enjoy seeing how they bloom on their own as an artist.

I enjoy seeing the progress my students make. The confidence they develop while working on their projects.
I use to own an art supply store in Grand Blanc MI and as part of this I started teaching lessons, from toddlers to senior citizens. I also hosted workshops in various mediums.
I am a self taught artist with 40 years of experience.

About the lesson

I will give the new student information about the various mediums that is used for example differences between oils and acrylic. Then I will ask them to bring a reference piece with to class to use. During the process of painting or drawing I will teach them how to look at colors, how to use different paint brushes to achieve certain brush strokes. As they work to continue the painting I will be guiding them to the end.

Boundless Arts allowed you to learn at your own pace with your own end-goal for a painting. The student gets to pick what they want to paint, and Mary provides the expertise and techniques to get there, along with the all-important eye for what looks right and wrong, and when a piece can be called done.
Excellent owner, artist and teacher. Always made an effort to have what you needed and help you with supplies.
What I really like best is that Mary Rimmell is so professional and a great teacher. There is always more to learn about art. She is the best!!!
