About David
I have taught all ages in afterschool, hospitals and privately. I stress encouragement in my approach and working with strengths and desires. I studied painting at Bard with an acolyte of Hans Hofmann. I let my website go but you can get an idea of my aesthetic on my facebook page:(concealed information) Thanks
I read a study of piano prodigys that went on to have a successful career as adults and what they had in common was a teacher who was able to communicate why and how he loved music. I want to be that teacher. Time after time I heard from elderly people that they quit art because a teacher eighty years before said such and such was no good. Naturally I don't want to be that teacher
