Ed constantly provides excellent painting information (value, temperature, color mixing, composition, etc). He is very open to questions and comments....Ed has an easy-going personality and patient. I am always inspired when I take a class with Ed.

Ed provides pertinent demos for his students. He is extremely knowledgeable, very patient, gives one-on-one assistance and readily recognises individual skills and weaknesses. He shows you how to remedy the latter in a positive and constructive way.

Whatever your skill level, Edward makes sure by the end of the class session that you have MOUNTAINS, (because that is what we painted), of useful information. He had great demos and took time to guide us in our own painting. He is skilled on all aspects of painting such as paints, equipment, color mixing, color values and value sketching to name a few. Very organized and has a kind personality.

I got a lot out of Ed’s class. He teach his students to think, before painting. He shows how to plan the composition, lighting and what to leave out of the painting, that may be in the scene or photo the student is using as a reference. He shows that warm, cool, light and shadow are all components to a good painting, and why. He will also give extra time, if the student has a particular question. He was very helpful to me.
