Ask questions. See drawings. Find strengths. Ask for their objectives. Working with very young studens 5 years and up, is particularly rewarding as the right attitude can set them up for a life in art or in observing nature.
Mostly adults that have a xuriosity with what they always thought they couldn't do since grade school.
Also high school students struggling to understand drawing or an assignment.
Good feeling from the start and a respect for dialogue and experience.
