About Dakota
I started playing drums when I was just 3 years of age! I never looked back. I am self-taught and want to help others build the same passion for drumming as I do! I started touring at 14 years old as a live session drummer. Since then I have also become proficient in songwriting and music production. I am ready to be your drum teacher, production teacher, or both! Let's make it happen.

When I start working with a new student I like to have a "get to know you" session. When you feel comfortable around someone you will always be more succesful. Then we move to the basics. Learning how to hold sticks, the simple beats, etc. Once we lay those down we can start reading som music. Then the improv starts! The most fun part of drumming is jamming and coming up with the next part in the moment. I want to get all of my students to that place!
