About Leo
I absolutely love the drums. I have an unending passion for this instrument and to be able to share in that with you would be awesome. I primarily play heavy metal so if you want to learn more about double bass and hand speed I'm your guy. This also means I have a solid foundation in rock drumming and can help you get to jamming more easily if that's what you want. I love rudimentary drumming so I'm sure to throw some rudiments your way that will tie your hands in knots, in a very fun way of course. Finally, it takes not only a lot of time but the right mindset to progress on this instrument so I'm more than happy to discuss the bigger picture of what it really means and what it looks like to get better at the drums.
I love being able to help people learn. I've taught plenty of beginners and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing them improve even after just one lesson. Also, every student is a new experience! It's so much fun seeing how different people learn and getting to tailor my teaching to what works best for them.
I spent too much time learning and playing the drums that I couldn't wait to talk about it with people. I quickly realized that most people didn't understand what I was talking about so I learned to help people understand and this translated very easily into getting students to understand new concepts and techniques.
I have taught people from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences. From those who have never picked up a pair of sticks before meeting me and those who have spent years on the instrument. I also practice near daily with the same enthusiasm as when I started out so I've picked up many things along the way that I'd love to share with my students.

My typical process involves getting in contact via text or email to discuss scheduling, what you're interested in, and pricing. Video lessons is primarily where I'll teach but I will provide the student with things to work on before the next lesson.
Mostly beginners and I never get tired of doing so. There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone get started and help them on their musical journey. I have taught people with years of experience and while different it's just as enjoyable because it typically involves helping them undo some bad habits and helping them do what they love with ease instead of struggle or discomfort.

Leo has strong grasp of the technical side of drumming, while still being able to communicate effectively. He’s able to understand the wants of his audience and deliver lessons appropriate for their skill level and experience.
Leo is an extremely good drummer who is eager to pass on the skills he has learned with others. He is very patient and encouraging, perfect for someone just starting to learn. He consistently went over the top to give the best advice and even made videos to supplement his lessons and let me borrow equipment I was missing. By far one of the best teachers I have ever had and the best drummer teacher I have heard of.
