About Daniel
I am a percussionist with 20 years of experience. Styles and techniques range from orchestral percussion, to rock n roll and hip hop. I love music, and being able to help others grow closer to their musical aspirations.
I've played in orchestras, marching bands, jazz bands, rock bands, and rap/hip-hop bands since 1999.
By filling in for an old teacher of mine
Started playing drums in 1999, and have experience in many different realms of drumming. From drum line, rudimental based playing, to keeping the groove in a jazz band.
I believe my unique style and experience allow for me to better understand all percussionists, and how to respond to their playing/techniques in a way that helps them improve not only their playing, but their approach to music.

First and foremost: technique and hand speed/strength. Also huge emphasis on always counting and knowing how to subdivide the beat in order to maintain the best concept of time. And remembering how much fun it is to play music!
All age ranges, but mostly beginners-moderately experienced drummers
Definitely find someone with great experience, but most importantly someone you feel comfortable with! It can be frustrating to learn and mess up along the way, but being comfortable playing in front of a teacher is so helpful.

Please be willing to practice every day (at least 30 min!)
