About Shawn
I set myself apart from other players in that I can teach you both sides of the glass, not just playing drums but recording techniques to get killer sounds from your recordings.
I am 37 years old, but playing drums since the age of 3. I have played in Rock bands, Progressive bands, Jazz, and currently a Latin rock roots band called Santa Mamba. I have done countless recording sessions for musicians all over the country and other parts of the world. I play other instruments such as guitar, bass, and piano, so I teach about listening while your playing off what other musicians are playing and contributing to their musicality and never stand on it.
In June of 2006 I got my science degree in recording arts and show production from Fullsail University. I know about mic placement as well as mixing inside the box and outside the box on outboard gear and the mixing techniques that come with each way of recording and mixing.
