About Jennifer
I provide a service that enables students to feel proud of their accomplishments. While the workload of our students is getting more demanding, our students may be struggling to keep up. I work with students that are struggling with Language Arts, History and Science.
I have been a History teacher in Bridgeport for 19 years. I have a Bachelors in History, a Masters in Teaching and a Reading Certification. My current role is Academic Support Technologist for the City of Bridgeport.
I was a long term substitute in Bridgeport. I then started teaching. While getting my Reading Certification, I started tutoring students at the Trumbull Library.
I graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelors in History, Masters in Teaching and a Reading Certification. I have Professional History Certification Grades 7-12 in Connecticut. I am currently an Academic Support Technician in Bridgeport.

I like to meet a student prior to working with them. Being able to understand the student is the best way to help them. I also like to speak with the student's teacher to identify what they are struggling with and what the teacher's expectations are.
I have worked with students from 2nd grade all the way up to Sophomores in High School.
Student I am currently working with was struggling in Science. Although it was a two week study session, he got a 90 on his test.
