About Clieve
I have been in love with English language and literature since I was an adolescent. As a teacher and a learner, I get a thrill from discussing everything from the nuances of grammar to the artistry of great literary works. I earned a Bachelor's degree in English and American Literature from NYU and am I have taught English Language Arts to high school and middle school students. I have also worked as a freelance essay writer and editor for undergraduate students. I love teaching English and believe that there is great power, and profit, in mastering the language and its rules.
I enjoyed English, was referred to the profession by someone whinwas already teaching and decided to try my hand at it.
I have a BA in English and American literature from NYU. I have taught English Language Arts to high school and middle school students. I have also worked as a freelence college essay writer and editor.

I start with a basic assessment which includes reviewing a sample of their writing, listening to them read and asking the student what they would like to work on. This can include working on a project with which the need help (term paper, essay, thesis, etc.) Once I've determined where the student's reading and writing levels are we set a goal within a specific time to improve on a skill or complete the project.
I've worked with struggling students, ESL students, students with disabilities, gifted students and learners at most levels from seventh grade through senior undergraduate students.
I would suggest being very clear on what you want to work on and on what your expected outcome is; whether that goal is completing a term paper, being prepared for an exam or being a better reader/writer. Have an idea of how many sessions you believe you will need to meet your goal.
I rediscovered a humanities text from high school and discussed my passion for art and literary history with a fellow graduate student. It rekindled a lot of the passion I have for the arts and made me want to share that with even more people.
