About Peter
I am a professor of communications at the Borough of Manhattan Community College in NYC. I also teach private workshops, and teach in the NYC jail systems. I hold an MFA from Pace University, and a BA from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
I provide a fresh perspective on English, a subject deemed “boring” by a lot of young students who are living in the most stimulated age in the history of the world. English is our greatest insight into the complexities of humanity, and that is a beautiful thing!

I like to understand what students are passionate about. The beauty of passion is it is different for everyone, and everyone has at least one thing they’re passionate about. I like to connect that to English. I like to find out what style of learning best fits the student realizing that “learning how you learn” is just as important as the learning itself.
