About Marin
My name is Marin and I am interested in the babysitter position you have open. I am a full-time student at UNT working on my Bachelor's in Education degree and am currently a student teacher in Denton ISD. I have worked with children ages 0 to 13 years old. I am fluent in English only but know amounts of Sign Language if needed. I am CPR and First aid certified and a non-smoker with my own transportation. I have also been following strict COVID quarantine, and am only outside when I am at my internship. I look forward to hearing from you, and good luck with your search!
I love working with students of all backgrounds. I am wanting to tutor and become a teacher for the same reasons, I love seeing students grow and succeed, and helping them face challenges along the way is so inspiring.
I am currently a Senior at UNT in the Education department. I am working as a student-teacher for Denton ISD. I have worked with students of different ages and backgrounds over the last 4 years, and am currently working in a 5th grade classroom.

As a tutor, my ideal process is to find out from the student the problem areas they believe they are experiencing. Additionally I will get information from the parents or guardians, but I want to hear from the student what issues they are having and whether or not they are comprehending anything they have learned thus far.
From that point, I will begin with them at the level they are at, and go from there. It is important for me for the student to feel like they are learning at their pace, are understanding the concepts while having fun doing so. Studies have shown that if students are enjoying the concepts they are learning, they will retain the information better, so I would like to implement fun ways to continue to retain that knowledge.
