About Sola
I am looking to work with Elementary-early High School students on general homework. My experience is primarily in Reading Literacy, English, ESL, but I am comfotable working in other subject areas.
I have a passion for helping students improve in their studies by helping them find confidence within themselves. I do this through supporting, encouraging, and my past experience teaching. I have had experience teaching in different cultures so I have learned to easily adapt to individual students needs. I will help your child improve from where they are at and feel confident in what they are learning.
I spent 6 months overseas teaching PE, ESL, and academic support for k-12. Since that time I have been working for an online ESL company, VIPKID, teaching students in China English.

To be able to learn well a student needs to feel comfortable and heard. Relationship building and listening to the student verbalize their thoughts and questions will help the teacher/studnet bond form to be able to get the best learning experience we can.
I have worked with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd culture students. Most of my teaching has been focused on Elementary age, but I have also had experience with middle and high school.
