About Cortney
Hi! I currently teach 2nd and 3rd grade English Language Arts and Reading. I am certified Prek - 6th grade. I have tutored after school for a few years now. I stated tuturing elementary math and worked my way up to the junior high.
I love getting to help students that do not quite get the concept have a light bulb moment as well as pushing those students who do to the next level of expertice.
I knew from a very young age I loved working with children and it was Gods calling for me.
I am a certified teacher and currently working on my Masters in Curriculum leadership. I have tutored for many years in the schools that I have worked at as well as on the side.

I first will take a few mintues to get to know them and what they are interested in. I always try to tie in their interest into thier learning. After we get the first time jitters out of the way I find their strenths and apply them to what they are missing and stuggling with.
