About Sarah
My goals as a tutor are to 1) to provide affordable tutoring and study help and 2) make it accessible and relatable. I spent a lot of time finding fun ways to learn, both as a TA and a college student, and I want to help others find their study 'niche' as well. Making associations with things you're familiar with, integrating studying into your daily routine - it's all about what works for you.
It's cliche, but I love watching the learning process unfold as my students progress. There's no one set 'path' to understanding a concept, and it's great when I can help a student figure out what works best for them to not only learn something, but internalize it.
I earned my BA in Linguistics in December 2019. I worked as a TA at my university from September 2017 to April 2019; in July, I started work as a research assistant and stayed in that position until June 2020. Since then, I've started to tutor for the writing and verbal sections of the GRE as well.
